Boston and the Outlet

Don’t miss the opportunity to spend a day visiting one of the most historic cities in the United States: Boston. On your way back to New York, we make a stop at the ultimate shopping destination: The Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets.

Your day begins at 6:30 a.m. at Times Square, where you meet your guide and board a comfortable motorcoach. After an approximately 4.5-hour drive, you arrive at one of the oldest cities in the United States.

Founded in 1630, Boston was the scene of several key events of the American Revolution. Your first stop is at Harvard University, the oldest institution of higher learning in the United States, where your tour guide leads you on a short walk through the institution. We also get a view of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and cross the Charles River on our way to the house of the Boston Red Sox and the oldest baseball park in Major League Baseball: Fenway Park.

The next stop is at the Boston Common, the first public park in the United States. From there, you’re guided through several historic sites included on the Freedom Trail. You learn the history and significance of places such as the Massachusetts State House on Beacon Street, Granary Burying ground, King’s Chapel, Old State House, Boston Massacre Site, and the Old North Church.

The Boston tour ends with free time to explore, shop, and have lunch at Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market. You board your comfortable motorcoach for a 3-hour drive to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, which features 250 of the most sought after, high-end designer brands including Armani Outlet, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Coach, Nike, North Face, Abercrombie, Adidas Factory Store, Barneys Warehouse, Boss-Hugo, Tahari Outlets, Fendi, and Michael Kors.

It flows northeast from Hopkinton to Boston along a highly meandering route, that doubles back on itself several times and travels through 23 cities and towns before reaching the Atlantic Ocean.

BOSTON COMMON

It was Boston's only burial site for 30 years (1630–1660). After being unable to locate land elsewhere, in 1686 the newly established local Anglican congregation was allotted land in the graveyard to build King's Chapel.

Today there are 505 headstones and 59 footstones remaining from the more than one thousand people buried in the small space since its inception. There are also 78 tombs, of which 36 have markers.
