Begin your experience by departing from Battery Park, Manhattan or Liberty State Park, New Jersey. Battery Park is easily accessible via subway, located in Lower Manhattan. Liberty State Park is easily accessible via car, located in Jersey City, NJ. Once you arrive at the meeting point, enjoy priority line access with your pre-purchased ticket.
Board the ferry and see the impressive views of Lady Liberty and the NYC skyline. Take note of the ferry's return times to plan your day. Your ticket gives you access to explore two attractions: Liberty Island (with the Statue of Liberty) and Ellis Island. The itinerary depends on your departure location.  

From Manhattan, your first stop will be Liberty Island. On arrival, pick up your multilingual audio guide to start exploring the history of the Statue of Liberty. Children also have the opportunity to enjoy a special narration of this self-guided tour. Wander around at your own pace and spend extra time at the spots you find most interesting. If you selected a ticket with ‘pedestal access’, you can also visit the Statue of Liberty pedestal. Climb the steps or take the elevator to the top of the pedestal and see the inner skeletal structure of the statue. Once you're ready to discover Ellis Island, drop off your audio guide and return to the ferry. Board the ferry towards New Jersey to head towards Ellis Island.

After you arrive, head into the museum to pick up your multilingual audio guide. For over 62 years, Ellis Island was America’s busiest immigration station. Millions of people from all around the globe passed through here looking for a new beginning and a new life for their families in America. With access to the American Family Immigration History Center's records, you can search all ship manifests that came through Ellis Island. Use this unique experience to research your family history. When you are finished, return to the ferry and return to your original departure point.

Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World; French: La Liberté éclairant le monde) is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York City, in the United States. The copper statue, a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States, was designed by French sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi and its metal framework was built by Gustave Eiffel. The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886.

Ellis Island

Ellis Island is a federally - owned island  in New York Harbor that was the busiest immigrant inspection station in the United States. From 1892 to 1954, nearly 12 million immigrants arriving at the Port of New York and New Jersey. were processed there under federal law. Today, it is part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument and is accessible to the public only by ferry. The north side of the island is the site of the main building, now a national museum of immigration. The south side of the island, including the Ellis Island Immigrant Hospital, is open to the public only through guided tours.
